Meet the Team

We recognize that all our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.

We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.

Clinic Coordinator

I meet with many of our new patients, welcome them into the office, and explain what is involved with orthodontic treatment. If they decide to join our family of patients, I also coordinate appointments and financial obligations. In my 35-year career, I have worked in general dental, orthodontics, and dental labs, and can truly say that I have always loved orthodontics the best. It is really rewarding to be part of a life-changing profession. I love helping our patients through the whole orthodontic journey, from our first meeting right through braces, then removal of braces, then retention of teeth. It is a rewarding job to see the happy smiles and build great relationships with patients and families.

I am originally from Saskatchewan and moved to Ontario when I got married 27 years ago. My daughter just graduated from Queens University with first-class honours in chemical engineering. My son is just finishing grade 12 and will be attending University of Ottawa in the fall and majoring in computer engineering. My husband is also an engineer.

Dental Receptionist

I earned my dental assisting degree from the Toronto School of Business in 1997 and joined the Aurora Braces team in 2015. My smiling face is usually the first our patients see when they come into our office. I’m here to help with general administration, collecting and processing payments, and scheduling. My varied tasks allow me to learn new things every day, all while building positive relationships with our doctors, staff, and family of patients.

My husband Peter and I have two girls, Cassandra and Vanessa. My hobbies include reading, baking, working out, and singing. I also enjoy being a part of parent council at my children’s school, and am actively involved at our church (Bayview United).

Registered Orthodontic Dental Hygienist

I earned my dental hygiene diploma in 2000 and have been a part of Aurora Braces since 2007. In addition to teaching our patients about good oral hygiene habits, I also assist our doctors by bonding braces, changing arch wires, and performing orthodontic adjustments. No matter what my day brings, I always know that it will be full of meaningful interactions with a variety of people. It is truly a pleasure to have such a positive impact on someone’s life.

I am originally from Brazil and have been married for 16 years. My family also includes my two children and our dog named Wall-e. My favorite pastimes are singing and music in general, shopping, and travelling.

Registered Orthodontic Dental Hygienist

I received my dental hygiene diploma from Algonquin College in Ottawa in 1991 and joined the team as a hygienist in 1998. My days are filled with providing clients with orthodontic care according to their treatment plan and having a little fun along the way. I look forward to getting to know our patients and building a relationship with them. It’s very rewarding to make a difference in people’s lives, especially to have a positive influence in the life of a teenager. Our practice offers honest, caring treatment to our clients. I consider our team a family and I want patients to feel like they’ve joined our family when they start treatment at our office.

I live in Aurora with my husband Garry, daughter Madisson, and son David. We also have a flat-coated retriever named Shadow. In my spare time I like to read, play tennis, geocache, and travel.

Dental Assistant

I became a dental assistant in 1993 and, after acquiring almost 20 years of experience, joined the team at Aurora Braces. I assist our orthodontists with various aspects of patient care, including taking diagnostic records, greeting and seating patients, and handling sterilization. The best part of my job is meeting new people and seeing as their smiles change throughout treatment. We also have a lot of fun!

I grew up in Courtice. I am a wife of 23 years and a mom of three busy teenagers. When I find free time, I play women’s soccer and attend Harvest Bible Chapel in Newmarket.
